How many photographers/videographers will I have for my wedding?

All my packages include me as the main professional photographer and a second photographer/assistant. This second photographer will take pictures at some parts of the wedding and will also assist me with lighting. For video coverage we always offer two main videographers. If you choose a video and photo package combined, we will have a staff of four at your wedding.

When will I be able to see my pictures and video?

Your complete USB with all your pictures, in both high and low resolution, will arrive six to eight weeks after your wedding day, along with your chaptered video DVD. They will be delivered to your home address via UPS at no extra charge. If you chose a 9-hour photo package, you will also receive a blog-entry approximately four weeks after your wedding day.

Can you work at all resorts in Cancun and the Mayan Riviera?

We work with a list of several hotels in the area, which grant us free access, but most hotels have different “outside vendor” fees and rules. Some will be flexible; others ask for the photographer to be a guest at the resort for one night, or pay for a day pass. A few resorts will simply NOT grant access to outside photographers or videographers, forcing the client to use the limited photography package offered at the hotel. We strongly recommend that before you choose your hotel, make sure they can accommodate your needs and be flexible about the vendors you want to use for your special day.

My resort is charging a hefty outside vendor fee… help!

We believe all couples deserve the right to decide who will capture their most important day. That is why in most cases we can offer free extra coverage time or added bonus to help you make up for this outside fee. Each case is different, so don’t be afraid to ask us for details.

What are the payment options?

We ask for a US$1,000 non-refundable deposit to book and secure your date, and the residual payment done 50 percent 60 days before your Event, and the remaining 50 percent 30 days before. You can pay with any credit card through Paypal -a side company of e-bay-. Or if you prefer, you can do a wire transfer to our bank account in USA.

Do you need to be included at dinner?

We appreciate it when our clients make us part of their meal plan, even though we will sit at a private table and eat as fast as we can so we can keep shooting. Please keep in mind that in an all-inclusive resort we would have to leave the property to be able to get some food. That is why with 6 and 9-hour packages, meals are mandatory. If the meal option is not possible, we ask to have access to soft drinks, water, snacks and sandwiches.

What images and how many do you use in the albums?

The number of images depends on the size of the album you choose. Once you decide which album you like, we can give you a table of how many images we can fit for a certain number of pages, along with the associated prices. If you purchased an album, within three to four weeks, you will receive a link to a private online gallery where you see and choose the best pictures from your wedding. If you prefer, we can choose all the photos for you.

Do you use templates to design the albums?

No, we don’t use cookie-cutter templates. We have a graphic designer who will design your album based on your wedding style. No two albums are alike, even if they have the same style.

How does the Trash The Dress (TTD) session work?

Normally it is done one or two days after the wedding. It’s special because the wedding day pressure is finally gone, and it’s time to have fun! The bride and groom can get dirty, tumble in the sand, get wet, stretch out on a rock. Put simply, couples do whatever they want amidst spectacular scenery that isn’t available on their wedding day. We offer two options: on the beach (at the hotel or at a public beach outside the hotel) and at a cenote (sink hole), which is our favorite.

Does the dress really get ruined during a TTD session?

The dress will certainly get wet, dirty and sometimes a little bit torn at the bottom, but not ruined. It all depends on the fabric of your dress and the location selected. If it’s at the beach at your hotel it will probably just get wet and full of sand, which a good dry cleaning can fix. In a cenote session, it gets trickier since there are a lot of roots and stones that can tear the dress if you are not careful. Some brides feel more comfortable buying another white dress and using it for this shoot.

Do you do underwater TTD sessions?

Yes. Although underwater pictures are amazing and magical, they are not for everyone. I have a list of requirements that I can mail to you if you are interested in this option. In this I include knowing how to swim and not being afraid of fish. (Laugh, but it has happened before!)
