Do you believe in magic? Photographers do

So you are getting married in the Mayan Riviera and capturing beautiful photographs of the event is very important to you.

Then I suggest you plan your wedding around what we photographers call the magic hour, which is nothing more than the first and last hour of sunlight during the day.

On your special day, if you make sure we do the couple’s shoot during sunset, you will not regret it. In fact, we guarantee you will love the results. You only have to look at the samples posted here to see.

What’s magic about this time? The color of the light gets golden, which is so flattering to any skin color. The light is softer and warmer, which creates an incredible ambiance. It creates the perfect setting to document the beauty of your love for each other.

Not incidentally, this soft light makes people look pretty — and who doesn’t want that?

Finally, it is the ideal condition for my style of lighting. The perfect time is when it’s just starting to get dark; it catches perfectly all the directional and creative lighting I do with flashes.

If you are convinced, here’s a typical destination wedding schedule:

• Symbolic ceremony – 30 minutes

• Group and family pictures – 30 minutes

• Couple’s shoot – one hour

So in order for us to catch the golden moment — which only lasts 15 minutes — you need to set up your ceremony 1.5 to 2 hours before sunset.

Hope you enjoyed this information. See you at sunset – looking gorgeous!
